Prep Period Presents: Public Domain

Prep Period

If you have been following us for awhile now, I’m sure that you have picked up on our interest in the Art World.  Whether it is playing with clay, or talking about tight lines or just fly fishing in general… our love for art shines through in everything that we do.

Prep Period is an art group created by both Thaddeus Pasierb and myself in 2011 as an outlet for several local talented artists to show work and help foster a love for the arts in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania.

Last Night was the opening night for the Prep Period Presents: Public Domain art show.  Artists in the show, Thaddeus Pasierb, Steven Leibensperger and Luke Ott, were presented with the task of selecting something from the public domain and interpreting it in their own way.  This art show coincided with the annual Block of Art event in Pottsville and will be open to the public until the 21st.

Due to my love of fly fishing and the chase of my very own white whale, I had to take on Moby Dick and interpret the story through the ancient art form, performed by whalers, of Scrimshaw.
